Brand Portal was officially born on October 14, 2001. The world had changed since the summer of 2000; the project had been outlined for the first time by a small group of business communication entrepreneurs: in 15 months time the world had shifted from the euphoria of the so called “new economy” to the tragedy of the Twin Towers. Never before had the western economy been so severely threatened.
Brand Portal’s initiative is one that has been tailored through time: a network of communication agencies guided by specialists from different disciplines with a completely new approach economic wise.
Brand Portal defies the traditionally centralized advertising budget management in favor of an integrated and decentralized communication approach, capable of adapting to the client’s real needs and creating value for every investment regardless of the amount. The facts confirm and reward this approach: in 2008, only a few years after it was created, Brand Portal became the second Italian communication group in terms of revenue earned, according to Assocomunicazione.

Brand Portal’s formula has never changed: strong vertical specialization within all the communication areas; integration; attention to the new media, especially to the digital aspect; constant interaction with top international experts through professional exchanges, partnerships, educational efforts.

Today, over 100 professionals work closely together inside the large spaces of the Brand Portal building located at Via Bovio 6, in Milan, where it was once considered an industrial area (only a few landmarks remain, among which the tall brick chimneys)that is now becoming one of the city’s main services hubs.

Internet has been a mass phenomenon for more than 10 years.
This is why having to distribute the amount into “traditional media” and abiding to an analytical model born in the late 90′s, no longer allows a full understanding of today’s reality-it actually jeopardizes it.

Inside Brand Portal we prefer to think in terms of one single media arena, in which different communication channels are deeply interconnected and subdivided into three typologies: media “paid”, media that can be acquired (any kind of advertising either web or offline); media “earned”, spaces which have to be earned through concrete actions that support a reputation (such as media relations or social networks activities); and media “owned”, which may include a company’s magazine, web tv, websites, and even a building, shops, fleet.

This simple but greatly innovative vision of the market and the media is shared by all Brand Portal’s experts in everyday activities and, most importantly, in training activities: therefore each communication project is created with strong integrated and multimedia foundations focused on each client’s needs.
